Terms of Service

1. Who we are

RiskBits Monitor (the “Service”) is operated by Ionuț-Robert Sandu, Persoană Fizică Autorizată (PFA), CUI 51596898, B-dul Bucureștii Noi 136, parter, ap. 5, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania (“we”, “us”), the merchant of record for all payments. Contact: hello@riskbits.net.

2. The Service

The Service performs external, non-intrusive checks of internet domains you add: HTTPS and certificate status, a set of TCP ports, HTTP security headers, public DNS and email-authentication records, certificate-transparency entries and registry (RDAP) data. It reports a score, findings and suggested fixes, and emails alerts when results change. It does not exploit vulnerabilities, guess passwords or access non-public systems.

3. Domains you may monitor

You may add only domains that you own or that you are authorized in writing to test. You are responsible for that authorization. If a domain owner asks us to stop, we may stop monitoring the domain and may suspend accounts that add domains without authorization.

4. Your account

Keep your password confidential and tell us about any unauthorized use. One account per person; accounts may not be resold or used to provide a competing monitoring service. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, illegal activity or attacks on others.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

The Free plan covers one domain checked weekly. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe: Starter $19 / €17 per month (up to 5 domains, daily checks) and Pro $49 / €45 per month (up to 25 domains, daily checks, subdomain alerts, up to 5 alert recipients). The price shown at checkout is the total you pay; no VAT is added (we are not VAT-registered) and EU businesses may add a VAT ID. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel any time in Settings → Billing; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid and you are not charged again. Plan changes are prorated by Stripe. Refunds are covered in the Refund policy. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal.

6. What the Service is not

The Service gives an external view at the time of each check. It does not guarantee that your systems are secure, does not detect every vulnerability, and does not replace a penetration test or professional advice. Results depend on third-party data sources (DNS, certificate-transparency logs, registries) that may be incomplete or delayed.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for the Service to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may improve, change or retire checks; if we materially reduce a paid plan, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused period.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or data, or for incidents we did not cause. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

9. Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end or suspend the Service for breach of these Terms. On deletion we remove your account, domains and history as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Courts in Bucharest have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
